Pigment in Paints and Coatings

It forms protective coatings for surfaces in painting and printing ink applications and functions as an antioxidant. In primer paints, it serves as a rust inhibitor while also acting as a color intensifying agent, catalyst, and conditioning aid modifier. As a dispersing aid, it provides excellent stability and suspension, ensuring uniform mixtures when multiple pigments are used. It facilitates the easy grinding of metal oxide pigments and improves spreading and mixing, preventing the hard settling of pigments. Additionally, it eliminates foam in water-based paints and acts as an effective wetting agent. It supports uniform color stability and enables the fast dispersion of latex-based paints, contributing to overall formulation efficiency and performance.
